Calhoun County AgriLife Extension and the Calhoun County Soil and Water Conservation District are hosting a brush management day on May 16, 2018. The program will be held at the Bauer Exhibit Building, 186 Henry Barber Way, in Port Lavaca, TX. Five (5) CEUs will be awarded (1 Laws & Regs, 1 Drift, 1 IPM, 1 General) to those with a pesticide license who complete the program. Cost is $30, which includes a catered lunch. Registration is from 7:30am – 8:00am.
Topics include Laws and Regulations update, Chemical control of difficult brush, mitigating drift, management of invasive species such as KR Bluestem, and sprayer calibration. Please RSVP to the Calhoun County Extension office so they can get an accurate count for lunch: 361-552-9747.
